The Ultimate Tennessee Road Trip Overall, it was a good way to waste a few hours of my day, enjoyably. They did have a non-smoking area up on the second floor, but it was very small and very few games. We had camped here before and really liked the place. The direct drive from Knoxville to Nashville is 178 mi (287 km), and should have a drive time of 2 hrs 39 mins in normal traffic. Andrew Jacksons Hermitage, a 1,120-acre National Historic Landmark was once home to President Andrew Jackson and his family. This is a great place to go as a trip or to go when you are bored. A whopping 76% of the population identifies as White, 17% Black, and only 1.8% are Asian. When we got in we greeted the lady playing a game on her phone. They provided recommendations on restaurants, nearby activities and other state parks to visit. Plan to visit again soon. Have heard owls and other nightlife talking. Very comforting place. Expect the summers to be milder, reaching the high 80s, while winters stay warmer, only dipping into the 50s for a few months in the height of winter.
